Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our work together begins with a brief initial consultation to explore your needs and determine if we’re a good fit. If we decide to move forward, we will schedule the initial assessment at the end of the call. The first 1–3 sessions are typically focused on getting to know you, what’s bringing you to therapy and gathering background information. Together, we’ll clarify what matters most to you, explore your values, and tailor a treatment plan that aligns with your unique needs and goals for therapy. You will be expected to set intentions and identify small steps toward your goals that you will be working on between sessions to integrate change into your daily life. Therapy can be brief or longer-term depending on your needs, goals, and preferences. My approach is collaborative, integrative, and responsive—supporting you in creating meaningful, lasting change.

  • Therapy can support a wide range of concerns including depression and anxiety disorders, OCD, life transitions, identity exploration, stress, and feeling stuck or disconnected from your values or sense of self. I specialize in helping individuals who are navigating change, burdened by cultural or familial expectations, or seeking healing from past experiences.

My approach is integrative and evidence-based. I draw from Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and mindfulness-based and somatic practices. I tailor each treatment plan to align with your goals, values, and lived experiences—honoring your cultural background and unique story throughout the process.

  •  My standard rates are $260 for a 50-minute session, $310 for 60 minutes, and $468 for 90 minutes. I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly but can provide a monthly superbill that you may submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. A sliding scale is available for clients with financial need, including students, seniors, and individuals from marginalized communities. Please feel free to reach out to discuss options.

  • I am a licensed psychologist in the state of CA and offer sessions online through a secure video platform and see clients in person in my office in Alameda.
